Major Winners Astralis Celebrated at Copenhagen City Hall

Danish government acknowledges accomplishments by their country’s best CS:GO team.

Danish CS:GO squad Astralis already appeared on one of Denmark’s leading morning television channels to talk and celebrate their accomplishment at the Atlanta ELEAGUE Major.

Earlier today, Director of Content at RFRSH Entertainment, Nicolas Estrup, tweeted about Astralis being celebrated once again.

This seems similar to traditional sports in the United States, where the team who wins the Superbowl, Stanley Cup, and so on, gets to visit the White House to meet the President and many others. This is the first instance of an esports team getting invited to celebrate their accomplishments at a government building that I’m aware of, but it’s exciting to see. It could lead to more countries doing the same thing, which would be a positive for the growth of esports.
