Turi Residents Welcome QURMA Bazaar by MAN 1 Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — The second day of QURMA (Qurban Bersama Romansa) on Friday, May 29, 2026, was enlivened by a community bazaar held at the pavilion near Masjid Al-Ikhlas in Turi, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The event was organized as an effort to provide benefits to local residents while strengthening the relationship between the organizing committee and the surrounding community.
The bazaar opened in the morning and received a warm response from residents. People of all ages, from children to adults, enthusiastically visited the venue to browse and purchase the items available.
A variety of quality pre-owned clothing was offered at highly affordable prices, starting from only Rp5,000. This pricing allowed people from different economic backgrounds to access useful items at a reasonable cost.
The bazaar was managed by a team of five committee members, with Dzakiya serving as the coordinator of the activity. Throughout the event, the committee worked together to assist visitors, organize the merchandise, and ensure that everything ran smoothly and orderly.
Community enthusiasm remained high throughout the day. Beyond providing affordable goods, the bazaar also served as a platform for strengthening social bonds and fostering a spirit of generosity within the community.
To maximize the impact of the program, any unsold items remaining after the event would be donated to local orphanages and residents, ensuring that all contributions continued to benefit those in need.

The Principal of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the QURMA 2026 Bazaar, noting its direct benefits for the community and its role in nurturing students’ social awareness.
“This bazaar demonstrates that sharing can take many forms. It is not limited to distributing qurban meat but can also be realized by providing useful and affordable goods for the community. We hope students learn that social responsibility is not always expressed through grand actions, but through a willingness to share and contribute according to their abilities,” he said.
Through this initiative, the QURMA committee hopes to provide meaningful support to the local community while promoting values of compassion, generosity, and social responsibility. The bazaar also reflects the broader mission of QURMA: creating positive impacts and bringing blessings to everyone involved. (nayy)
