Have you all heard about the “Mahila Samriddhi Yojna”, well it’s renamed as “Delhi Lakshmi Yojna”.

Apparently, our chief minister, Rekha Gupta thinks that the name should have Delhi in it and Lakshmi signifies that it’s for females.

Now, I’ll discuss the problem here. You see how our government denies of being inclined to just one religion? They always claim that they’re secular and don’t support just one religion?

Well I think that’s a load of crap they hand to us because there are the small things that they do that makes us believe what they actually are upto.

If you keep shouting “I am Billionaire” that won’t make you one, you’ll only be a billionaire if you have money.

Adding “Lakshmi” doesn’t signify women but only “Hindu Women”.

How’d it sound if I name it “Delhi Mary yojna” or “Delhi Harmanpreet yojna” or “Delhi Fatima yojna”….. sounds odd right? Then why name it on some Hindu God’s name, you can just call it “mahila yojna” and we’d know it is for the women.

Similar things like changing town’s, city’s names, which I don’t need to specify because we’re all so familiar of them.

If we truly want to live in a secular country, we need to focus on these small details and raise our voice against them, or the very least, Acknowledge them.

Our government is biased and we need to change that.
