How to Implement a Whitelist in Smart Contracts (ERC-721 NFT, ERC-1155, and others)

I want to share with you my research results.

You can implement whitelist in 3 ways:

• On-chain whitelists
• Digital signatures
• Merkle trees

Each method has advantages and disadvantages. Mostly the first one is not a good idea in Mainnet.
