Pareidolia

A poem

We see faces in trees, and in carpets In paintings with no faces in them In stained and spalling concrete We see Jesus in toast Satan in a sliced apple

Gleeful faces or unpleasant We have desperately evolved to find them Wherever we look—water, fire, earth, or air.

My constructs are unknowable to you You are in a completely different place And out of eight billion I would instantly know your face
