EL-BARKAN 2026 Celebrates Togetherness in the Spirit of Ramadan

Yogyakarta, Indonesia – On Saturday, March 1, 2026, the KIR LIBA community of MAN 1 Yogyakarta held an event titled EL-BARKAN (LIBA Iftar Gathering) at Nox Coffee Boutique. The occasion served as a moment to pause from daily routines, gather in a relaxed atmosphere, and strengthen bonds of togetherness.

The event began with an opening by the master of ceremonies (MC), who set a warm and engaging tone. Several welcoming remarks followed, expressing gratitude for the strong sense of community that has been built over time. The gathering was also attended by former members, alumni, and mentors, adding to the lively atmosphere.

The Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the initiative organized by KIR LIBA. According to him, iftar gatherings are not only about sharing a meal but also about strengthening the sense of family among members, students, alumni, and mentors.

“Through activities like EL-BARKAN, students can strengthen their connections while fostering a sense of unity within KIR LIBA. Ramadan provides the perfect moment to reinforce brotherhood and offer mutual support, especially for 12th-grade students preparing for the next stage of their academic journey,” he stated.

The atmosphere became even more vibrant as participants joined fun games such as Bring Me and Misleading Lyrics Chain. Laughter filled the room as these simple activities brought everyone closer together.

The excitement continued with a gift exchange session, offering small surprises that delighted participants. The EL-BARKAN moment was also captured through a group photo session, preserving memories of the joyful gathering.

As iftar time approached, all participants joined in a collective prayer, hoping for ease and success in the future – especially for the 12th-grade alumni who are about to face an important phase in their academic paths. The event concluded with breaking the fast together in a warm and familial atmosphere.

Through EL-BARKAN, it is hoped that the sense of togetherness built during the event will not end with a single meeting, but continue to grow into lasting memories and ongoing support in the future.
