Atheya Lür, Pt.IX
by Gustave Deresse
One particular youth of the elder class — fiercer, more compassionate, seeming infinitely brighter and more creative than any other in the history of this locale — had stuck out, but then only a year prior to these events — the haunting chant, the pyramid catching fire, the box opening at last — they’d died in a manner so horrible, and yet so commonplace — suffocated in a violent sandstorm — it pained all to remember it even a tad, which worked out, as time or energy was seldom left to think back, and even had the memories comforted anyone, or yet made them glad, then contentment was still a weakness of which no elder — Timmy, put that DOWN, or I’m telling your parents — would approve, and such happiness in these conditions was barely an easy feeling to hide.
