New Update: APEDA Registration-Cum-Allocation Certificate (RCAC) Made Mandatory for Non-Basmati Rice Exports

As per DGFT Notification №33/2025–26, dated 24th September 2025, the export of Non-Basmati Rice (under ITC HS codes 10063011, 10063019, 10063091, 10063099, and 10064000) has been restricted and can now be permitted only after registration of export contracts with APEDA.

To comply with this, exporters must obtain an RCAC (Registration-Cum-Allocation Certificate) from APEDA before shipment.

Exports are allowed through Customs EDI ports and Land Customs Stations (LCS) on the Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-Nepal borders as per DGFT guidelines.

This measure ensures better traceability, monitoring, and fair trade practices in the export of Non-Basmati Rice.
