GSoC’18: Packaging The Virtual Brain #Conda

About to finalize it.

Hi! I am back with my first report on google summer of code project.

What i have done or encounter this week:

On this first week of google summer of code 2018 project

Istart by trying to put the remaining package with is tvb-framework to conda-forge but i am stuck with merge conflict that force to leave it until my mentors recommend me and offer their help, Its been my please meeting you my second mentor Paula Popa on weekly call using Skype she’s amazing mentor what a warm and wonderful welcome, She taught me how to fix the merge conflict using:

Open a terminal and move inside your local repository (staged-recipes).

git remote add upstream https://github.com/conda-forge/staged-recipes.git

git fetch — all

git rebase upstream/master

This step will require you to merge the tvb-gdist meta.yaml file

The easiest way to do that is to open the project inside Pycharm.

Go to the menu: VCS -> Git -> Resolve conflicts

Choose: “Accept Yours” inside the pop-up window.

Go back to your terminal and type: git rebase — continue

git push

What i will be doing next week:

Next week i will try my best for tvb-framework to became alive and available on conda-forge then i fresh start packaging the virtual brain to Neurodebian.
