Paradox of Phones: So Full Yet Empty
You can do everything with phone but still have nothing.

(From Pinterest)
I'm screen addicted person and I know it's not good and harmful in long terms. I'm always on my phone but if you were ask me what I'm doing is actually nothing.
I scroll through social media for hours without getting bored or tired. I watch series and finish them just in few days, the contents I'm gonna forget just in ten minutes because I already moved new ones, people who I look their posts and compare myself with them and at the end of the day I have wasted time and nothing.
But I could do my homework in meantime instead of scrolling and I can do some hobbies too. Unfortunately most of people, like me, trying to making time for hobbies but actually hobbies are for spending the free time.
Escaping from time trap
I love doing puzzles but I have hard time to finish just a thousand pieces puzzle. It's not because I don't have time after school and my chores, it's just because I can't put the phone away, have free time.
I think to myself the times I tried to make time for the things that makes me really happy. Scrolling can stimulate the release of serotonin and make me addicted to it but not giving the real joy and happiness.
When I realized I'm trying to make free time while I have free time I stop and think why I'm doing this like some mechanical human whose duty is just do some emotionless things. I was determined to put the phone away from my sight and do whatever I want. I knew if I do this I won't feel guilty for not doing what is helpful to me.
Finally a step that away from screen
I had the strength of closing the phone and not touching the screen. I started doing some hand crafts stuff.
I made so many origami that my room started to filling up with those. I even started to doing it when my hands are empty and there's have some paper. I mostly folding a butterfly and giving them to my friends as an little gift to make them remember that day.
Like I said above I’m doing puzzles and this is so fun to make. Sometimes it’s testing your patience but I take a deep breath, take a sip from my water and look the pieces more calmly.
After getting experienced it’s getting easier to find the right pieces. I first do edges then organize the pieces according to their colors. I do if there is a specific object and put the pieces around it. After hours I have; tested patience, better visual associative intelligence and a wall art that i will look at prideful eyes with knowing I did this.
Please support with claps and give feedback to improve myself.🥰💖
