What Will It Take

There is a cost for every single thing. A tradeoff that everyone will be willing to make if they see the offer to be irresistible. All of us have made tradeoffs that we see put us in a better position than before, and give us something better than we currently have. We need to realize that everything, every skill, every characteristic, comes down to tradeoff.

You can tradeoff physical objects, but you can also trade off your time, tradeoff effort, tradeoff hardwork. All these can be traded off to put you in a better situation than you were last at. The saying, ‘You can’t have your cake and eat it’ points to the fact that we have to pick between opportunities that we want. Leading on from this, lets say you want to become a millionaire in 5 years. No you first need to start by saying what will it take. It will take time, knowledge, patience, hardwork and lots more. Next you ask yourself, is it worth it, as in, what is the sacrifice. Friends, pleasures, careless spending, free time, and lots more.

Everything comes down to what does it take, and are you willing to make the sacrifices required. We choose to tell ourselves these goals are unreachable, but we are lying to ourselves. These goals are only impossible with no sacrifice, or tradeoff, of what we currently have. We need to be willing to trade now for a better future. Its going to be hard, but what makes it hard, is what makes you grow.
