The Seasons of the Soul
Dance into destiny.

Photograph thanks to Frankie Magee. Himalayan Winter.
The soul is like the seasons. We watch them come and go. In the rhythm of the orbit The earth has learned to know.
The sweet sunlight of springtime Then the sweat of summer’s heat. In autumn, the leaves fall. Into the shade at winter’s feet.
Seasons dance into destiny. The different seasons of the soul Sadness, gladness, loss and frost Combine to make us whole.
Life has a rhythm and a rhyme. It ebbs and flows, and we all know Ups and downs, smiles, and frowns Are driven where the four winds blow.
Polarity can bring clarity. We move and shift from pole to pole. Hope, love, gratitude, and charity Make up some seasons of the soul.
I bend and strain the winter rain. It lands and turns to ice. The sun appears and smiles for a while. Such is the spice of life.
I yearn to learn about the seasons. And adapt to mood and change Day and night and bright sunlight The snowdrift on the range.
I answer the analogy. I pick the sway to suit the day. And absorb the orb of the seasons. As I go along my way.
