Let’s get to our new watch of the Uhrenkosmos Weekly review. Anyone who has not bought it in 2022 can still purchase this traditional observation wristwatch in the form of an extraordinary chronograph. The artistic feat of this timepiece is to retain its original aesthetics despite the additional timekeeping function.

To do this, Guido Benedini and his team used a trick: the monopusher chronograph only has a 30-minute totalizer at “12”. As a result, the original B-type dial has not undergone any major changes. When the stopper is stopped, the chronograph hand and the 30-minute counter hand are exactly on top of each other.

Furthermore, this 44 millimeter measuring bolide allows the control of a predefined period of time. For this purpose, an ingenious mechanical system connects the ribbed bezel with the disc of the minutes counter. The red marking can be set to a value between 1 and 30 by turning it. When the counter reaches there, for example, the spaghetti is cooked al dente.

Because a permanent second at “9” would not have fitted the design of this wristwatch, there is an easily perceptible functional check indicator in the small peephole at 9 o’clock.

Traditionally, the military markings of a B-Uhr, necessary for identification, can be found on the case-back. The Watch Angels design type does this in an unusual way. The data is not recorded on the case back, but on the back of the soft-iron cage, which also protects the automatic movement from magnetic fields. They can be read through a display sapphire case-back.
