Choosing Life
Choosing Life
My parents just had the privilege of listening to Eli Sharabi, who after surviving being in Hamas captivity for 491 days, he was let free only to find out his wife and two daughters were mercilessly killed during the October 7th massacre. While he was in captivity, the hope to be reunited with them is what gave him hope. When he was faced with the devastating news of their loss, he had to hold onto faith in an even more extreme way. He had to choose life and to take on doing good that would be in their memory as an everlasting merit.
No matter what we are faced with in life, there is always a choice to choose light. Choose hope in the face of darkness. Never give up the faith that there is something more than this world. There is something transcendent to this physical world that the human experience uniquely captures.
