The Joy of Words

Has so much power.

I like to write in quatrains And use alliteration too The second and fourth lines I rhyme A method tried and true.

Though I suppose writing in prose A style most preferred I find it hard to fathom A form I have demurred.

And so, each day I like to say What is on my mind And quill it in a quatrain To leave the past behind.

You’ll find it’s best that stands the test To tell stories in a form That has a start, middle, and end A way that is the norm.

Life is full of twists and turns Each one is unique And the way we each feel From our head down to our feet.

Reading is the cornerstone In books, we learn so much And find out how others view the world And the way we stay in touch.

The joy of words has so much power The more we know, the better Use them, don’t confuse them It’s like writing a letter.

It’s great to share your stories In whatever way you write It’s always time to write a line Be it morning, noon or night.
