I don’t know which cosmic contract I accidentally signed, but every time I travel, there is one species that finds me instantly, without fail: Monkeys.

Not one. Not two. A whole association of them.

And here’s the funniest part — none of them have ever harmed me. No scratches, no bites, no stealing my food (okay, only twice).

But do they fight with me for absolutely no reason? YES. Every. Single. Time.

It’s like I show up and they immediately go, “Ah yes, our special guest has arrived. Quick, someone start some unnecessary drama.” Suddenly it’s a whole “Main character vs. monkeys” storyline.

It’s like they’re saying: “We like you. But we must argue. It’s tradition now.” And honestly? I respect it.

Maybe I just have that “monkey-friendly aura.” Maybe I was a monkey in my previous life. Maybe I’m the chosen one and haven’t realized it yet.

Whatever it is… It’s hilarious, mildly stressful, but also kind of wholesome.

You’ll know I’m nearby when you hear: “Oye! Monkeys aa gaye!” And somewhere in the background, one monkey is staring at me like we have unresolved issues.

But it’s okay. It’s love. Monkey love.
