In a valley covered in mist stood Blackthorn Castle, empty for many years but feared by all nearby villages. People said shadows moved by themselves, torches flickered in empty halls, and strange cries echoed on dark nights.

One stormy evening, Thomas Angel, a young knight trying to fix a past mistake, rode to the castle after hearing about a hidden treasure that could restore his honor. The heavy doors creaked as he entered and slammed shut behind him. A cold chill ran through the hall, and the castle felt alive, twisting its corridors and whispering secrets to confuse him.

Flickering torchlight showed strange symbols carved into the walls and a bloodstained journal. Metrola, the castle’s last owner, had disappeared without a trace. Her notes spoke of a darkness that fed on fear, betrayal, and anyone who was too curious.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed behind Thomas. He spun around, but the halls were empty. Shadows stretched across the walls like long fingers until they formed a figure Metrola herself, her eyes empty voids, pointing to a hidden room.

Inside, the treasure shined, but the air felt heavy and dangerous. A whisper came to his ear: “Once you enter, you belong to Blackthorn.” Heart racing, Thomas realized he had a choice take the treasure and risk being trapped forever, or leave and live, haunted by the castle’s dark power.
