Peace is a Longing in Your Heart

Peace. It is a blessing. It is a gift from Almighty God.

LET ALMIGHTY GOD FILL YOUR HEART WITH HIS PEACE

God’s Smile

A peace serene and holy All Nature’s being fills, Breathes from the fragrant lilies. Crowns all the circling hills. Whispers in trembling tree- tops. Sings in my grateful breast. Sadly we live in a world that is far from Almighty God’s love. From the moment you wake. Till the moment you close your eyes in slumber. There is constant noise and distractions. This world pulls you from the love and the peace of Almighty God. Your heart hungers for God’s peace. There is a void in your heart that cries out for His peace. Through this article, dear reader. Reach out with me, for God’s peace. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16, ESV)

Reflection. Abiding each day in the peace of Almighty God’s love.

In your longing. In your heart. Kneel before the Father in prayer. You are tired of the constant noise and distractions of this world. Reach out to the Father in prayer. In faith filled prayer. In a heart filled with love for the Father. Pray for His peace. Believe. Yes, you believe the Father listens to and answers your prayer. In the Holy name of Jesus, you pray. “Peace, I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27, NIV)

The everlasting peace of Almighty God is a yearning. The calming and soothing peace of Jesus is a craving. That your heart hungers for day and night. But this peace seems just a little out of reach. A breath away! A secret, not quite within your grasp! Finally, you reach out to God your Heavenly Father in prayer.

As well as prayer. As vital and comforting as prayer is. You turn to the Holy Scriptures. For the Holy Word of God has many teachings about God’s gift of love — PEACE. The Holy Bible is available for you at any time and any where. This is the blessing of God’s Holy Word. It is there for you, all you need to do. Is to pick it up and read it.

When you do spend time with God, through the Holy Word of God. Almighty God’s Love Story speaks of His everlasting peace. For to feel God’s peace. It is to feel a true sense. It is to gain an impression of God Himself. For, the very nature, God’s very character is harmonious and sweet PEACE. “The LORD gives strength to His people; the LORD blesses His people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11, ESV)

The blessed peace of Almighty God calms your heart. As you sit quietly, reading Bible verses speaking of His peace. “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24–26, ESV) Let the blessed peace of God surround and comfort you now and always, AMEN!

Remember that your Lord, Almighty God hears your faith filled prayers. The Almighty One searches your heart and hears your need. The God within you. God, the Holy Spirit silently, gently stirs. Reach once more for the Holy Word of God. Find your quiet place of solitude and bow your head. Pray. In your prayer time. You walk once more in the Holy and loving presence of the Almighty One. You are once more at peace. You are in the presence of a God. Whose very character is pure harmonious PEACE! “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7, NIV)

Saint Paul encourages us to grow into a deeper. More intimate relationship with God saying.

Scripture Readings:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28, NIV)

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Proverbs 19:21, NIV)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 5:13, NIV)

As you sit quietly with your somewhat worn Bible in hand. The more you read the Holy Word of God. The more you learn of and about Almighty God’s love. The more questions you have answered through your prayer time. Greater peace is granted to your heart. Your mind, your heart, your soul develops a restful and a peaceful faith in God. Each lesson learned from God is added to your store house on PEACE in your heart.

It is through diligent and regular reading of the Holy Word of God. That you are granted the everlasting blessing of Almighty God’s peace. Combined with honest and open prayer. Your heart is calmed. Your soul is at peace.

God’s peace is different from the peace the world offers to you. The world’s peace is temporal and circumstantial. God’s peace however is eternal and is carried within your heart always.

Picture Saint Peter walking toward his Lord Jesus on the stormy waters. In trust and with complete faith in Jesus. Peter steps from the boat and walks to his Lord. Saint Peter’s eyes and his heart focused on Jesus. This is what walking in the presence of God brings to you. You feel God your Father so nearby. Nothing will harm you. While you are in the presence of the Almighty One. This is the difference between God’s peace and the peace offered by this world. God’s peace protects you and shields you from all harm. “Lord, if it’s You,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to You on the water.” “Come,” He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.”

Unfortunately, the peace that the world offers comes and it goes. May the Lord be praised. God’s peace calms your heart always. As you walk on the stormy waters of life. With absolute faith in the Almighty One. At peace in the Holy and loving presence of your Heavenly Father. A conqueror of life and all it throws at you. God’s peace comforts and surrounds all the days of your life.

Your faith, your trust and your love for God Almighty brings to your heart His peace. God’s everlasting peace is such a soothing and calming balm. Well, let me give to you a for instance. I sleep peacefully knowing God is here watching over me and my beloved family. My sons live oh! so many hundreds of kilometres from me. Just before peaceful sleep takes over. I place David and Mark in God’s loving embrace. Then off to God’s dreamland I drift. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” (Colossians 3:15, NIV)

Through prayer time and diligent Bible study. The Almighty One has brought into my life a restful state others can scarcely imagine. Many people say to me, “at night they toss, and they turn.” I speak quietly to them of my little and life-changing secret. Jesus’ peace. Just a few words of love. A few words of kindness and compassion for this lost one. A few words which not only will change her restless nights. These words will transform her whole life. Then to her God I place her destiny. “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8, NIV)

As you walk in the loving and Holy presence of God your Father. Feel He is only a breath away.

You can indeed just reach up your hand and touch the face of God. The One who loves you so. Such peace God has brought into your life. You are so confident in His presence. You can reach up your hand and touch the Face of the God who created you. “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thessalonians 3:16, NIV)

Conclusion. Peace is a Longing in Your Heart. Peace. It is a blessing. It is a gift from Almighty God.
