Why Doesn’t Jesus Feed the Poor?

As the price of food skyrockets because of the increased global demand for good nutrition (not a bad thing).

It does make you wonder, in the face of such increased cost. In a time when technology can feed the masses and it’s just a matter of cost. Why doesn’t Jesus just step in?

The UN told Elon Musk that they could end world hunger with $6 billion. But why are we waiting for Elon Musk? Jesus has $6 billion, for sure. And God as a whole easily does. The God of Christianity has been saving for 2,000 years, the God of Judaism has been saving for 4,000 years, and the God of Islam has been saving up for 1,500 years. These are organizations that pay no taxes and have one simple promise, that their God wishes to wipe away human suffering, and hunger, is, of course, the most basic of human suffering.

So… Haven’t we been saving for this moment, stewards of God’s will… pony up!

These religions have connected networks. In some forms of Christianity, they are referred to as Dioceses.

To give an example of this network in just one branch of Christianity, Catholicism, here are the stats…

In Catholicism, there are over 2800 Dioceses. the main one being the Diocese of Rome, of course. Where the Bishop of Rome is the Pope himself. The Diocese of Rome has, according to Google, $10 to $15 billion on hand. This does not count all the art, land, and God only knows what else they’ve been able to put into undisclosed trust funds.

Then, to give another example, the Catholic Diocese of Charlette, North Carolina, according to Google, has $100 million on hand. That, again, does not include the money that the diocese can legally hide in trusts.

These are just 2 Catholic Dioceses. And again, there are over 2800 Catholic Dioceses worldwide. On top of the dioceses, the Catholic Church has over 300 orders of religious (priests and nuns) that operate over 1300 universities worldwide. So this organization has billions of dollars on hand, untold invested wealth, and a network capable of ending world hunger.

This is just the Catholic Church. Then in the rest of Christianity, you have the Anglicans, the Lutherans, the Evangelicals, the Methodists, the Pentecostals, the baptists, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. All with their own hierarchal systems that mirror to some degree the Catholic system noted above.

And Judaism and Islam also have their systematic hierarchal systems of structure and wealth that mirror by way of organizational intent, all noted above.

All these organizations within Christianity, Judaism, and Islam pay no taxes in most places they operate. And their labor is effectively volunteer labor, as their “religious” work for sustenance.

And all three of these major Western religions claim to represent a God that wishes to end basic human suffering. And with all the combined wealth and manpower of these three major Western religions, they won’t end hunger, the most basic of human suffering. Shame on the leaders of our Western religions. Shame on these leaders for not honoring the promise of their ancestors, to end the basic human suffering of hunger, now that they have the ability.
