There are many characters from the popular Japanese manga: Demon Slayer(Kimetsu No Yaiba), but the best character has to be Kyojuro Rengoku. Kyojuro Rengoku is the flame Hashira, and had the biggest heart of all the characters in the series. He was a selfless, kind 20 year old man when he was killed by Hakuji Soyama (Akaza). He had a big heart the size of the sun, and his kindness changed the entire Demon Slayer series. Everybody that knew Kyojuro was devastated when he died. His little brother, Senjuro Rengoku, was even more devastated then everyone. Kyojuro’s Father, Shinjuro Rengoku, went into a mental breakdown after his wife(Kyojuro’s Mother), died when Kyojuro was very young.

Shinjuro soon became and alcoholic, carrying Sake jugs around with him on missions while he was killing and decapitating humans. Even when Kyojuro became a Hashira(high Demon Slayer Corps rank), Shinjuro was not even proud of him. He just kept drinking Sake. When Kyojuro’s nobile death came, Shinjuro bad-mouthed Kyojuro. But when people were not around, he wept in his house and mourned Kyojuro’s death. Kyojuro’s life was sad, and he did not have a lot of screen time, but he was the kindest Demon Slayer character by far. That is why he is my favorite character.

This was his last inspiring quote before he died:

”Go ahead and live with your head held high. No matter how devastated you may be by your own weakness or uselessness… set your heart ablaze. Grit your teeth and look straight ahead. Even if you stop and crouch down, time won’t wait for you or snuggle you and grieve along with you.”
