If you like fast-paced thrillers that mess with your head a little… the Housemaid series by Freida McFadden is honestly such a ride.

One of my absolute favorites from her collection, this series just hits different. She has this super addictive writing style, short chapters, unexpected twists, and that constant feeling of “okay wait… something’s not right here.” You think you’ve figured it out, and then boom-she flips everything.

The Housemaid starts with a woman who finds a job in a wealthy, picture-perfect household. On the surface, everything seems ideal, but slowly, the cracks begin to show. There are secrets hiding behind closed doors, and the deeper she gets into their lives, the more unsettling things become. It’s the kind of story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go-every chapter just makes you want to read one more.

What makes this series stand out is how cleverly the tension builds. It’s not just about shock value- there’s a psychological edge that keeps you guessing till the very end. And just when you think you understand the characters, you realize there’s so much more beneath the surface.

If you’re into thrillers with twists that genuinely surprise you and characters that aren’t what they seem, this series is 100% worth it.

Honestly speaking, I liked the first book more than the other two, but its definitely a good series if you are the type of person who would like to know what happened afterwards, how are the characters going forward in their lives.
