Solar eclipse cruises are now a thing — Latest Cruise News

Princess Cruises just added a third solar eclipse cruise for 2026, and it’s a pretty exciting one. The Enchanted Princess is now joining the Sky Princess and Sun Princess to give guests front-row seats to a total solar eclipse happening on August 12. This eclipse will last a little over two minutes and will be visible off the coast of Spain.

The Enchanted Princess will set off on August 4, 2026, for a 14-day trip called “Mediterranean and Adriatic with Total Solar Eclipse.” It leaves from Rome and stops at several spots along the Adriatic and Western Mediterranean before ending in Barcelona.

This cruise joins two others already planned for the eclipse. The Sky Princess will leave from Southampton on August 8, and the Sun Princess will offer different trip lengths — 7, 14, and 21 days — starting from either Barcelona or Athens.

Terry Thornton, **Princess Cruises**’ chief commercial officer, said adding the Enchanted Princess gives more people the chance to witness this rare moment while enjoying some amazing Mediterranean destinations.

On board, guests can expect astronomy talks, themed food and drinks, and stargazing at night. Everyone will get special eclipse glasses to safely watch the big event.
