Is The U.S. Fascist?

To the people out there who are in denial about what is going on in America right now, this is for you.

To put it plainly, yes. The actions taken by our government due to the current administration are encroaching on a full on fascist society.

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology defined by a dictatorial leader, state control over society and the economy, and the forcible suppression of opposition. Basically it’s like when someone has a god complex and they think they are the best at “blank” and no one could ever be better than them. But the someone in question is America and Trump has his squad pumping up the people with this farce that America is the “best” country. Using pride in one’s nation to distract from the influx of control in everyones well-beings.

In case you don’t believe me let me show you. And if this upsets you maybe its time to take a long look in the mirror.

The following is a list of actions taken by Hitler in the 1930’s leading up to/during World War II:

• Campaigning the slogan of “Make Germany Great Again”
• Banning books
• Targeting/censoring the media/press
• Blaming problems on immigrants
• Creating enemies with any neighboring country(isloating Germany)
• Taking away funding for advancement in the arts
• Eliciting fear of “outsiders” or anyone not deemed “pure” by his standards
• Demonizing education[aka teachers are evil and corrupting our children]

Just for my book keeping, did this list A) “attack” you B) seem like fake news or C) make you laugh/roll your eyes

If A) Why? Lets think and reflect on that shall we. Why does it upset you so much? Why are you seeing this as an attack? Could it be because you might see some similarities to what is happening in America? Maybe just maybe it is. And maybe just maybe deep down there is a part of you that sees that. And maybe that deep down part wants to break out, but you won’t let it due to not wanting to accept the truth. So take a long look in the mirror and let that part out, for all of our sakes.

If B) Hey I get it, Google is really hard to use. And theres like no good resources anywhere. If only there were countless books on the events surrounding Hitlers rule and rise to power. That would be cool if there was a place that housed literature on this specific subject. You know what like maybe just maybe type in Hitler in your google search bar and see what happens. Try it and get back to me! Maybe something will come up! Fun!

If C) Hey look I know these are tough times, tough to keep it together and not just laugh. I have used laughter as medicine in a sense to get myself through the days. However what is happening in the U.S. at the moment is too scary and too real to be funny. We have to be vigilant and speak up and speak out about all of it. Saying nothing is actually saying everything. It lets people know you are priviledged NOT to speak out. So if you are just as distirbed by present day U.S. as me, it is time to do something about it. Besides countless outreach innitiatives and protest to join, I have a much simpler but extremely important alternative. Talk. Communicate. Do not let this get swept under the rug. We must as a society start calling this out, we can not stand for it.

Speak Up. Speak Out. Speak Loud. Speak Proud.
