Going out of my Comfort Zone

All of us desire for a proper direction in life to pursue in higher education, career and to simply find a purpose to live. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award became the brightness that lightened up the dark alley of finding myself. It was nothing but a well-designed and crafted programme which helped me to seek the path I wanted to make my unique identity. It always has been and always will be a competition with your former self and the improved you now. The Award is a transformational programme that enriches a young soul in all the four key aspects of physical recreation, skill, service and adventurous journeys which is the sustainable way to lead a life. We, Award holders get inhabitant to a balanced lifestyle at a very young age while developing the social skills needed in our day to day lives.

When life becomes tedious and challenging to pass through, always remember the most wearisome yet exciting adventurous journey you have been on. The real challenges you faced by taking yourself out of the comfort zone will go a long way in your life benefitting in every pathway you pursue. The sense of accomplishment and compassion you feel towards the society will guide you and help you be resilient with all the blessings of serving people in need. Being multi-skilled is an important asset to be a competent individual and sustain metabolism and fitness no matter how occupied you get. All the young award participants have the opportunity to get well-refined under the award umbrella to be a young leader full of unimaginable potential. If you put your heart and soul in the completion of the Award, the opportunities are endless. It was not a well-defined road I had to take to become an Emerging Leader. It was all that courage, determination and unshaken resiliency I developed through the award that took me a long way.
