Friendship

Lately I’ve been wondering why finding real friends feels so hard. When I was younger, it seemed so easy. Maybe it’s because the needs I have now are different from what I needed back then. I’m 40 years old, and I still don’t have anyone I can truly rely on. People always say, “You don’t need anyone but God,” and I understand that. But then I see social media people getting together, laughing, celebrating, surrounded by friends and family and I can’t help but wonder why it feels so difficult for me. I don’t know if it’s life, age, or just the way things change, but sometimes it hurts. I’m trying to understand it, and I’m trying to grow through it, but it’s not easy.
