Creamline seals quarterfinal spot after 3–1 victory vs. Choco Mucho

Creamline Cool Smashers outplayed Choco Mucho Flying Titans with a dominant 3–0 win, securing a quarterfinal spot in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) on Thursday, November 13.

In the early game, Creamline took control, setting a straight-set victory, 25–17, in Set 1 with a head-start rally of 15–8 from Jeannette Panaga and Coco Schwan, and nine points from Michelle Gumabao.

The game continued to favor Creamine after Schwan delivered multiple strikes against Choco Mucho, widening the lead to 19–9. Meanwhile, Kyle Negrito and Shena Toring execute a solid block to counter Choco Mucho’s kill attempts to score a point.

Meanwhile, in a neck-to-neck battle in Set 3, Choco Mucho came close with a 25–23 score after multiple rally attempts and an off-the-block hit by Royse Rubio. But Schwan took over with a 12-point barrage, while Negrito — later named Player of the Game — kept the attack humming with 18 clean sets.

In an interview, Negrito expressed her sentiments on the final points during the tight third set.

“Kailangan composed kami, kapag nag relax kami, ite-take advantage ng Choco [Mucho], so trinabaho namin ‘yon. Happy ako na nakuha namin ‘yung panalo ng straight sets,” she stated.

Negrito also revealed Creamline’s key to their performance

“Sinimulan namin sa training, and inaral namin yung Choco [Mucho] kasi knowing Choco [Mucho], na syempre, ilang beses na rin namin nakakatapat. Goal lang namin ay ma-execute ‘yung system,” she added

Creamline will continue to defend the championship against Cignal Super Spikers in the playoffs on Tuesday, November 18.
