Sitcoms? Do they teach anything.

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄.

These are the words that are always replaying in my head and keep me going in any situation whether I am sad or demotivated by something.

And NO, these wise words were not said to me by someone in my life but rather a sitcom “Boy Meets World”

Often, we under-estimate the impact that sitcoms can make in our life.

In my opinion we can learn a lot about ourselves and life from these sitcoms. There are some sitcoms that play a very important role in my life,

Firstly, the star of the show ‘“𝗕𝗼𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 🌍, this is a story of two best friends Cory and Shean and their teacher Mr. Feeny.

This seven-season sitcom made a huge impact on me from learning to not care what people think of you, be adaptable to change and it also tackled many societal issues like harassment which really made a positive impact on me growing up.

Also, it explores the theme of disturbed family and how it can affect the children but how it all can be neutralized if you have the right people around yourself.

Shean who is Cory’s best friend had a large probability of going into a wrong direction because of his family issues but he didn’t because he had the support of Cory and his entire family.

He led a “legal” and happy life. It taught me that quality is so much more than quantity in terms of anything. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.

Then, 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝟵𝟵 This show is a pure emotion for me which I cannot explain to anybody. And honestly, I don’t want to.

Do what you love, must have heard of it right? Well, don’t just listen to people, Watch Jake Peralta and take notes. If anybody can be my role model, it must be Jacob Jeffery Peralta.

He taught me how important it is to keep those little childhood dreams alive, behave like a child sometimes and it would never mean that you are bad at your job. Jake being the best detective of 99th Precinct with his die-hard love for well “Die Hard” and how he enjoys his work through that movie, let’s just say he taught me a lot.
