The aftermath of the Travis Scott incident
The story isn’t old. And we aren’t out of the CovidWood. Most everyone who we can think of wants to do the thing they were doing in 2019. For some, that’s travel and seeing family. For other’s, it mean’s doing the thing that makes you feel both alive again intimately and selfishly, and also gives you that spark one feels when surrounded by people who are looking for that same spark; music festivals, outdoor concerts, a beer at a local pub, going to a shopping mall or a baseball game. Ultimately, it’s self indulgent. But IT does, many times over, generally make you a better person. You’ve chatted a stranger up and now know a few things about Welding. Basic 101 at least. You saw someone from a distance and then again 30 minutes later near your seat and thought: “Well, this could be the one”. :) And so you exchanged texts, saw each other and realized “that” wasn’t the one. The energy that community events and local pubs bring to individuals is one way many of us navigate a year. And the last almost 2 years has been nothing like the above.
