Teclast Laptop Review- You will regret buying it

I bought the lesser known Chinese branded Teclast laptop in January 2022. I bought the Teclast F6 model on Shopee, Malaysia. It was cheap, at 700 Malaysian Ringgit. I wanted a cheap laptop that I can leave in my office everyday. I did not have high expectations due to the cheap price. Yet, it still managed to disappoint me.

Initially when using it, there was just a bit of lagging, which was expected due to the low specifications. After 2 months of using it, it just stopped working. I could not turn it on. It kept blinking the Teclast logo at start up and Windows would not load. I read the reviews on Shopee, and realised some other buyers had the exact same issue.

Looks like this Chinese manufacturer designed the laptop to last a few months, just long enough to receive 5 star reviews and to avoid returns or refunds.

There is supposed to be a 1 year warranty. Teclast customer support asked me to post the laptop back to China for repair/replacement. The delivery fee would cost me RM100, which I was to pay myself. I decided I was not going to spend another dollar on this piece of junk, so I asked Teclast to give me a refund voucher instead. Besides, who knows if they will really send a laptop back to me.

Teclast only agreed to a measly 20% of my purchase value to be refunded in the form of a voucher, to buy a Teclast product on Shopee. However, it has been more than 2 months since they agreed on the refund and I have yet to receive any voucher! I have tried to complain on Shopee, but to no avail. My complaints to Teclast customer support has mostly been ignored.

So if you are thinking whether to buy products of this rubbish brand, my advice to you is, buy a reliable brand instead.
