#BlackOps2 : Mod Menu Installation (2025 Update)

You’re either an achievement hunter like myself or you’re wanting a chill way to mess with your friends in a lobby. Either way, I’m here to help you setup the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Mod Menu.

Note: I didn’t create these mods, nor do I have anything to do with the rights behind them. Use them at your own risk. If you’ve read my article, Achievement Hunters: Doomed by Dead Games, you’ll recall Black Ops 2 being listed as one of the most bugged and abandoned Xbox games, as of 2025. Prior to downloading these modifications, my attempts to play online Zombies were squandered, as other players had cheats that made it nearly impossible to complete online challenges without asking friends for help. The conversation of morals can be had another time. For now, let’s gear up.

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

1. Access the Black Ops 2 dashboard > Head to Leaderboards

2. Select the Grenade Kills option

3. Select Filter > Change Filter type to All Players and apply.

4. Here’s the toughest step: you have to scroll to a specific location on the chart in order to find a username with the mods. Finding the user is challenging as the rankings do update from time to time. Various YouTube videos will show different users. I found success with the video attached below and the username they depicted.

• *NOTE **: this article is updated periodically and the ranking of the player needed to install the mods may change. Please refer to updated Reddit logs + garner some patience. Trust me, it’s worth it.

6. Under the Edited Films tab > Watch the Part I video FIRST (obviously) and load the film.

7. Watch the entirety of the film. Let it play fully and then exit the theater mode.

9. If done properly — head into a Custom Game, load in a map and you should see the green prompts around the border of your screen letting you know how to begin using the mod. Xbox has it set as

F.A.Q’s

1. Can I transfer the mod to another friend? Answer: YES! Hop into a Custom Game together and transfer the mod controls over via the Player Menu option within the Mod Menu > selecting your friend > and elevating their controls.
