From the Cross Onwards: The Increasing Dawn

Every seed sown at the Cross reaches its full harvest in the Day of the Lord, but it will not be a long silence until then. We shall receive the firstfruits of that harvest: tokens of the full promise, appearing every now and then. We will gain faith for victory at critical moments, and faith to endure for the rest of time; bits and pieces of signs and wonders, the fruits becoming more and more frequent until they become unceasing — an all-year-round forever.

At the Cross, the will of the Lord invaded earth; mortal men began to catch a glimpse of eternity, receiving words of wisdom and bits of knowledge. Each one knowing in part, and acting as such. But as we draw closer to the Day of the Lord, the parts come together with each new birth; the quality of the knowledge increases, the frequency of the accuracy increases, until eventually, prophesying ceases, because we will all know as we are known.

At the Cross, there was a betrothal: God formally made His move toward humanity. The millennia of His watchful gaze now make sense; the ages of laws and prophets all point to this moment. The season of purification now begins: Myrrh, aloes, spices, and cummins, gathered from the north, south, east, and west, lavished upon the Bride that she might be her best. And in the Day of the Lord, she is no longer merely betrothed; she stands fully ready — as the Bride.
