FOSS4G has been a blast, as every time. This has been my 4th FOSS4G and beside the missing social interactions with people all around the world and the missing exploration of amazing places, it was great to get back in touch with the community.
We had three presentations about our work during the last year.
- Open History Map — Architecture of Time-space mapping — This talk was more oriented towards the architecture of OHM in its whole new infrastructure, solving the aspects of data management and information structure;
- Caching time changes in maps — This talk discussed and presented the OHM Caching system that is being developed and deployed in these days;
- Serious tech for non-serious maps — An experimental deploy of the OHM infrastructure has been launched at https://map.fantasymaps.org/toril with the Toril map (with, as usual, way more detail in the Sword Coast than anywhere else) from the Forgotten Realms D&D campaign setting. The work is highly in progress but is an interesting take on the hopefully upcoming work on the Public History Toolkit.
It was a pleasure sharing these projects with you and listening to new updates on fascinating projects from the community all around.
