Frequency Change sets the word and the count. It’s up to us to turn it into magic in the form of a fiction story. The word count today is 136.

Also, did you know that your support and engagement is like cactus juice for writers? That means we get seen, heard, and a strange prickly feeling in our fingers.

It didn’t matter how often Reed swept or dusted, the apartment remained fluffy. They tried not to blame the cat for it’s natural composition, but they struggled with the anxious pet. Doodle was a very nervous cat. Strong winds, doorbells, and ringing would send him hiding immediately.

The shedding would follow.

The vet prescribed medication and calming. music. The shrink recommended dim lighting and crystals. Reed’s neighbour recommended a different environment like the beach or a forest cabin. But Reed could barely afford the rent, let alone moving. As much as they wanted to get out of the city’s noise pollution, it just wasn’t an option.

They watched nature documentaries on low volume, and Reed’s phone stayed on silent. That’s how they missed the call about their father’s death. Though Reed probably wouldn’t have gone anyhow.

Anyone here got an anxious pet? One of my cats is a high strung micromanager, the other is fearless. The dog is scared of water.
