Be the Home, Not the Storm

Which of them would you rather be?

If Question and Answer were humans, which of them would you rather be?

The question came from a friend of mine who told me the other day that they were just so tired of guessing where they stood with people.

If you’ve ever felt that exact same exhaustion, maybe you also need to hear my thoughts on this:

We often spend our lifetimes wandering through doubts, begging the universe for a sign that we matter. In a world full of unanswered echoes, I’d rather be the answer, the one that makes the search over. I want to be the steady warmth of a home fireside for a soul that has been running in the cold for far too long.

I don’t want to live my life full of doubts. It is frustrating and exhausting for me. Imagine dealing with the present and future with so many uncertainties? It’s like you don’t know the meaning of your life or your entire existence in this world.

I want to be someone who comes into people’s lives and gives them the best I can offer. I’d rather be the giver; the one who provides without asking for reciprocation.

I think living like that is better than being miserably in doubt. You know, if you have two choices in life, always choose to be the bigger person. Be the one that gives positivity. Be the one that lightens up the lives of lost people.

Be the answer to their never ending doubts.
