Why was I born as the firstborn?

No one chooses to be the firstborn.

They just happen to arrive a little earlier than everyone else.

Yet somehow, that one little fact turns into a lifetime of expectations.

Be the example.

Be the responsible one.

Be the strong one.

Take care of everyone else.

Some people act like firstborns were made for that. But they’re not.

They’re just kids who happened to be born first.

They make mistakes. They get scared. They need comfort too. They’re still learning life, just like everyone else.

Being the firstborn isn’t some special ability. It doesn’t mean they’re stronger or more prepared. It just means the world expected them to grow up a little too soon.

Maybe it’s time to stop romanticizing the “strong firstborn.”

Because behind that title is just another person who never got to choose it in the first place.
