She was 13 and She bombed bridges

Today which means for the last 3 days I read about two revolutionaries as per the norm, One Indian, and one international.

How easy it is to skim through texts about someone's life in 3–5 minutes and state, oh I know about her or him or them? Anyway with this hypocrisy I am going to debrief what I read about two people who were active in their own regions and fought for a revolution.

Rani Gaidinliu, A Nagamese revolutionary, joined her brother who was also a revolutionary fighting against the Britishers, at the age of 13 even after her brother died at the hands of the Britishers she led the revolt. It was at 16 years she got jailed only to be released after our Independence. Jawahar all Nehru did met her around 1937 and promised to release her after talking it out. That's what I read in Wikipedia, also there was a lot going on in relation to religion and her association with the government that I was not able to understand. I am still going through the ABCs of understanding society. But It was made clear that she was against Christianity and after 1960 when most of Nagaland turned Christian they opposed her and her association with the Government made the Nationalists of Nagaland angry with her.

I will come back to her after understanding a bit about the impact of religious belief in a society.

Our next revolutionary is Petra Herrera. She was also known as Pedro for a while on the Ground as she like other female warriors had to disguise as a man to fight wars. Pedro was a really common name among female warriors to disguise. I read about her from rejectedprincesses.com and Wikipedia. She was known for bombing bridges and She even commanded a team of 200 men and even after her achievements, she was not recognised by the General at the time. She then created her own military where she reached the peak with 300–400 women under her and after some time it was disbanded. She worked as a spy but died a pitiful death by getting infected by three bullets shot by a drunk guy in a pub.

I mean I might have rushed writing about her but there was not much that I could remember at the time of writing and this is not an educational resource it is just home work given to me by myself.

I am slacking bye.
