PuhuTV Case Study
In 2015, we partnered up with Doğuş Group to build the region’s most extensive “video-on-demand” service, and this partnership gave birth to Puhu TV. The application of the VOD platform was featured on apple.com/tr for months. VNGRS had developed basically everything from the video processing pipeline to the web platform, mobile applications to smart TV applications.
On 31 March 2017 PuhuTV released its first original content ‘Fi’. It reached a total of 86 million views with 14 million unique viewers. The vast majority of the consumption had been generated in the first couple of days without any performance or reliability issues. PuhuTV currently serves millions of users, reaching up to 100k concurrent viewers at times. PuhuTV’s goal was to become the number one content provider in the region and we have achieved that success together within a year. PuhuTV’s technology teams took over the product and continued with the next iteration.
