Things that you should do To grow your Logistics business

Logistics is a huge market in the UAE. However, many businesses in this industry are still struggling to expand. The most common reason is a lack of sales. Companies face difficulties with sales predictability and low conversion rates (from leads to customers).

So here are a few pointers to help you increase your sales and grow your business:

Increase sales predictability:

Having a sales strategy in place is critical. This not only increases sales, but it also increases accountability among sales representatives and executives. A good sales strategy must be repeatable, scalable, and measurable in order to be effective. One method is to use the funnel approach, which is described further below.

Continue to generate leads:

Look for methods to gather information about your prospective customers. You could get their name, email address, phone number, and even the name of their company. You can do this in two ways:

  1. Inbound marketing, in which you attract customers to your website through SEO or ask people to call you by handing out your business card; or
  2. Outbound marketing, in which you acquire leads through emails, SMSes, trade magazine ads, event sponsorships, cold calling, and other methods.

Manage your leads/customers better:

Filter the leads generated by the methods to see if they fit your customer profile. Check to see if they are willing to buy, ready to buy, and if they have the ability to influence the purchasing decisions of their company/stakeholders. After that, qualify your leads and prioritise your customers while they are being served. For example, a vendor who gives you monthly business may need/demand urgent delivery, whereas you may have a new order that is large and could potentially be a large returning customer. This may appear to be a catch-22 situation, but you must try to find a way out. You could try approaching an existing client to buy more time based on your relationship with them; Alternatively, you could buy time from the new customer and provide him with some added value, such as a discount. There is also the option of outsourcing the smaller order for a single time. Managing your leads and customers effectively is the most basic and essential requirement of any business.

Offer what the customer needs:

Every customer is unique, and it is your responsibility to ensure that their needs are met. Consider hiring good salespeople who can assess your customers’ needs and present them with a product that is useful to them and/or solves their problem. For example, if you offer a plethora of storage options to a customer who is only interested in chemical storage (which necessitates specific storage facilities), the customer may be dissatisfied. Whereas if you give him what he truly requires, you can then upsell the transportation of the chemicals as well. Chemical Transport company Dubai

He might be interested only after his basic needs are met. As a result, you should always make an effort to understand your customer’s needs, pitch your offering formally, and close the deal.

Build your brand:

The majority of logistics marketing, particularly in India, is done by word of mouth. As a result, having a good brand reputation is critical. Continue to socialise in order to keep your brand name buzzing.

Take the time to identify your brand’s unique selling point (USP) and then promote it aggressively. For example, if quick turnaround time is your USP, make sure your brand is known for it and no one promotes it better than you. Whether it’s high quality or strong work ethics, you’ll know you’ve succeeded when your USP becomes synonymous with your brand.

Open a new location/platform:

Leveraging the digital platform may appear difficult at first, but keep an eye out for potential growth opportunities. Keep an eye out for opportunities to expand into a new location or product. One advantage of the logistics industry is that, even during a recession, there will always be some industry that is doing well and requires logistics services. manlift rental companies in Dubai. There is also the possibility of huge opportunities appearing out of nowhere in logistics. As a result, always be ready to put the pedal to the metal. If you require a quick loan to fulfil a specific order, you may want to consider obtaining a credit letter from the bank.

Any business is a continuous process. Continue to plan your next step, anticipating potential risks and opportunities, and working smartly toward the goals you’ve set for yourself.
