Dark Future Dreams A Psychological Thriller

Dark Future Dreams
Ethan Parker had never known peace at home.
Almost every day, his parents argued. Their voices echoed through the house like a never-ending storm. In the middle of all that chaos was Ethan, a nineteen-year-old college student who felt invisible.
He knew his father loved his mother deeply. But he was never sure if the feeling was mutual. Every argument seemed to begin with his mother.
On Ethan's birthday, neither of his parents came home.
He spent the entire night alone.
The next morning, his father returned, exhausted and silent. His mother came home shortly after. Neither of them remembered his birthday.
Ethan left for college without saying a word.
As he walked down the familiar road, a bitter thought crossed his mind.
"Maybe life would be easier if I didn't have parents at all."
A few moments later, something caught his eye.
A crisp hundred-dollar bill lay on the sidewalk.
His heart skipped a beat.
The exact same thing had appeared in a dream the previous night.
For a moment, he simply stared at it.
Then he laughed nervously.
"Just a coincidence."
Or so he thought.
That night, Ethan had another dream.
He saw his father crying while speaking on the phone.
Then he saw himself standing inside an unfamiliar house, tears streaming down his face.
The next morning, reality repeated the dream.
A phone call arrived.
His grandfather had suddenly passed away.
Later that day, Ethan found himself standing in the exact same place he had seen in his dream.
Crying.
Just like before.
The coincidence no longer felt like a coincidence.
Days passed.
Curiosity slowly replaced fear.
One evening, Ethan sat beside a lake near his neighborhood.
"Am I seeing the future?"
The thought sounded ridiculous.
Yet every dream was becoming reality.
That night he forced himself to sleep.
At exactly 11:27 PM, another dream arrived.
This time he saw his mother walking beside another man.
They entered a small hotel together.
Then the dream ended.
The following day, Ethan forgot most of the dream.
Until evening.
As he was returning home from college, he suddenly spotted his mother.
She was with another man.
The memory crashed back into his mind.
The dream.
The hotel.
Everything.
Keeping his distance, he followed them.
Inside the hotel, he secretly listened to their conversation.
What he heard froze his blood.
They were discussing a plan to kill his father.
Ethan ran home.
His father was asleep.
For several minutes he considered telling him the truth.
But another thought consumed him.
"If Dad finds out, it will destroy him."
Instead, Ethan made a terrible decision.
A decision that would ruin everything.
That night, he followed the man into a deserted alley.
Using a leather belt, he strangled him to death.
When it was over, he stood there shaking.
Convinced he had saved his father.
But the dreams continued.
A few nights later he dreamed of his parents fighting.
He heard his mother whisper:
"I'll kill him myself."
The next day, he heard those exact words in reality.
Fear overwhelmed him.
His dreams had never been wrong before.
Believing he was protecting his father, Ethan committed another unforgivable act.
He killed his mother.
His father discovered the truth.
At first he was horrified.
Then he broke.
Completely.
The weight of the murders shattered what remained of him.
Together they hid the evidence.
But nothing could hide the guilt.
The house became silent.
Cold.
Empty.
Six days later, Ethan dreamed again.
This time he saw his father gambling away everything.
The house.
Their savings.
Their future.
Then he saw his father attacking him in a violent rage.
The dream felt more real than any before it.
When he woke up, he remembered every detail.
And for the first time, he was prepared.
At exactly seven in the evening, his father returned home.
Something was wrong.
His eyes were wild.
His hands trembled.
He carried a large stone.
Ethan hid inside a closet.
Waiting.
Watching.
The moment his father found him, the stone came crashing down.
Pain exploded through Ethan's head.
Blood ran down his face.
Instinct took over.
The struggle lasted only minutes.
When it ended, his father lay motionless on the floor.
Dead.
Ethan collapsed beside the body.
Crying.
Screaming.
Begging for forgiveness.
The dreams had taken everything from him.
His mother.
His father.
His future.
His soul.
That night, exhausted and broken, he fell asleep once more.
One final dream appeared.
Police officers surrounded his house.
Handcuffs clicked around his wrists.
He was being arrested.
When he woke up, police sirens echoed outside.
The dream had already become reality.
The officers stormed the house.
Ethan didn't run.
He didn't resist.
He simply dropped to his knees.
For the first time in months, he felt nothing.
Only emptiness.
The story dominated the news for days.
A college student.
Three murders.
A family destroyed.
A life ruined by visions of the future.
Or perhaps...
Not by the future itself.
But by the choices he made because of it.
Three days later, Ethan was found dead in his prison cell.
He had taken his own life.
And with him died the answer to a question no one could ever solve.
Did he truly see the future?
Or did he create it himself?
The End
