Most riders don’t realize how much what they wear under their gear affects the entire ride.

Riding in summer sounds cool… until you’re stuck sweating under layers that feel heavy, sticky, and impossible to ignore.

Most people focus on the obvious: the jacket, the helmet, the protection. But almost no one talks about what actually sits underneath all of that.

And that’s exactly where the problem starts.

Because in hot weather, your base layer isn’t just another piece of clothing — it’s what determines whether your ride feels smooth… or unbearable.

Wearing the wrong thing under your gear builds heat fast. Sweat gets trapped. Fabric sticks to your skin. Movement feels restricted. And after 20–30 minutes, it stops being about the ride — and starts being about discomfort.

The mistake most riders make? They wear regular gym clothes or cheap leggings.
