One Nation One Ration Card Scheme INDIA | ONORC

One nation ration card (ONORC) will allow workers and their families, particularly migrant beneficiaries, to claim foodgrains from any Fair Price Shop (FPS) across the country with their existing ration card. For this process, Biometrics or Adhar verification would be required.

The characteristics of the One nation ration card are:

1. Service Will be enabled on the beneficiary’s existing ration card.
2. It will be a universal Ration Card for every beneficiary under NFSA(Department of Food & Public Distribution)
3. Migrants will allow buying foodgrains (Like Sugar, Rice, Whole Grains, chickpeas & other edible foods) at a subsidized cost from Fair Price Shop at their temporarily living place in India.
4. Biometrics Devices will be installed at every Fair Price Shop across India. The beneficiary will be identified through these Devices.
5. The Aadhar Cards of every beneficiary will be linked with their ration cards. It will help recipients get the ration using the same ration card at their destination.
