Angine de Poitrine: analisis seorang peminat muzik kasual

Beberapa bulan yang lepas, ada satu band yang tiba-tiba viral di internet. Berasal dari Quebec, tidak boleh tidak kita akan notice penampilannya yang pada aku, sangat eccentric.

Sebagai seorang peminat muzik kasual yang memahami muzik hanya dari pengalaman mendengar muzik (disclaimer: saya bukan seorang musisi), aku sangat tertarik untuk mengetahui lebih tentang band ini.

Lebih menarik aku untuk lebih mengambil tahu adalah disebabkan band ini main genre experimental, math rock (one could argue that every music is, in fact, experimental). Odd time signatures, more than adequate riffs, strange noises, among others.

The thing about new bands nowadays is that as a human, I understand that it is almost impossible to be original anymore. The last band that I really love is Nusantara Beat, cause it blends something familiar with psychedelics and it kept me on the edge.

For me, Angine de Poitrine is doing more than it is necessary. Aku rasa in a way, they’re using a formula to incorporate everything possible into a music, to create music. And for me it is just too much for myself to comprehend.

Math rock is already too much and I guessed I need to restrict myself to certain limit. It is too much for my brain.

Nonetheless, I still think it is such a great band. They’re super good but it is not for everybody, and it is not for me.

To think about it, I was thinking about a reels someone on the internet made not too long ago — that humanity has made all the possible music they could and that maybe it is time for us to focus on farming.
