Embracing My Inner Witch

This is for all the witchy women out there…you know who you are.

Fun fact about me, I am a psychic channel for Spirit. The first time I realized this was back in 2020, a few months into my spiritual awakening. I remember standing in my kitchen when I started hearing a voice in my head speaking words I knew were not mine. With curiosity and confusion, I quickly grabbed a pen and paper and wrote it all down. It was a big message about love, connection and healing during a very scary and confusing time in the world. I had no awareness of where these words were coming from or what to do with them. But it got my attention and showed me a glimpse of what I was capable of and that I indeed have a connection to something bigger.

These days I often channel higher wisdom when I’m going about my day doing ordinary things like driving or taking a walk outside. This wisdom may come from my soul/higher self, my Spirit Guides and Angels, The Council of Light or any number of light beings. It’s not super important to me where it’s coming from. What is important is actually trusting what’s coming through. Over the years I have definitely had moments of feeling like I’m crazy or I’m making this shit up! If you’re also intuitive, you’ve most likely been there too. But I’ve learned to trust these messages completely and find deep comfort in them. Luckily I always either write down or voice record the messages because it would be tragic to let that wisdom go to waste!

Over the past few years I have received multiple messages all revolving around the mysterious subject of witches. My own curiosity with witch energy started after a guided meditation I did a few years back. At the end of the meditation the question was posed “Who are you?” and without thinking I said out loud and with conviction “I’m a witch”. I remember being surprised that I said those words. But at the same time it felt like a pull to something familiar. Since then I have also received the following messages: “the witches are coming in multiples”, “embrace your witchery” and “there is a witch inside all of us”. Yes, there have been too many messages about witches to ignore. I have also learned that my connection to witch energy is something I’ve carried through many lifetimes where I was persecuted or killed for being a witch. Sometimes Spirit will keep bringing through the same message until you’re ready to really hear it, connect to it and possibly heal something. And in this case, I believe it was my soul asking me to remember a part of me lying dormant waiting to be reawakened.

For those of you who don’t like labels, I hear you! I wasn’t ready to claim that label for myself either and suddenly call myself a witch. I’m aware that the word has a negative connotation for some and can mean different things to different people. But over time it occurred to me that I was already quietly living that way. I was intuitively doing things like following the moon cycles and ritualizing my daily shower to clear my energy. Placing stones near my front door for protection and feeling weirdly connected to crows. I even dyed my hair magenta so my outside would match how different I feel on the inside. But as I further deepened into my own awakening, I realized that embracing my inner witch has a richer layer to it beyond rituals. And that richer layer for me is about connecting to my own power and learning how to not be afraid of it. It’s also strengthening my psychic senses while learning to trust them completely. It’s living intuitively and attracting what I desire. It’s discovering I hold the power to heal and transmute my pain. It’s finding my truth and standing in it, alongside the fear of persecution and judgment. It’s embodying my true essence.

Below is a poem I channeled recently while soaking in a salt bath. It’s for all the women who resonate with witch energy. And for those that are just becoming curious, I offer it as an invitation to lean into that part of yourself. Don’t be afraid to claim that powerful energy.

Witches come together as one

Witches are pure in intention and in doing

They seek understanding, community and truth

They are not harmful, just the opposite

Their knowledge spans lifetimes

Their wisdom is revered

They honor one another and nature in all its forms

We can learn from them

They are powerful

Some of them are hidden, some of them are scared

For the events of the past is something they remember

They are rising up now to reclaim that power

To be seen by many and to take their place in society again

As the truth seekers, the wisdom holders, the healers and the ones that see beyond

It’s time to let your inner witch out
