Working at the Intersection of Entertainment Marketing, Luxury Gifting, and Philanthropy — Gavin Keilly Celebrates 25 Years
GBK Brand Bar’s ceo and founder, Gavin Keilly, is celebrating 25 years in the celebrity gifting and special events business, where he has curated numerous luxury suites prior to major awards shows like the Oscars, the Grammys, the ESPYS, the Emmys, celebrity golf charity events and the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

Keilly has also produced many top charity galas, with celebrities like Jerry Seinfeld, Elton John, Sharon Osborne, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Sugar Ray Leonard, Magic Johnson and Lady Gaga.
“Time goes by quickly when you truly enjoy what you do!” enthused Keilly, who started his career in sales in the telecom industry. He pivoted to the non-profit sector, helping organizations grow while using the power of celebrities to build awareness and funding.
It was at this point that Keilly realized he could create informal hi end, pre awards gifting lounges that create win-win situations.

“These curated events are a cost effective way for savvy brands to meet top talent–be it celebrities, athletes, influencers and journalists–and hopefully establish a long time collaborative relationship,” he noted.
The veteran marketing expert is considered the “Godfather of Celebrity Gifting,” as his company was amongst the first to create promotional opportunities for consumer product companies in a luxury setting.“During our special events, companies are encouraged to take a photo with each celebrity and their product. This can then be used to boost the company’s social media, as well as at trade shows and distributed to the press.”
GBK’s awards lounge generates over 300 million media impressions and have received upwards of over 2 billion during Academy Award weekends.

Keilly is also committed to taking care of communities in need. Over his 25 years, he has raised over $10,000,000 for a variety of causes, including C**asa De Los Angelitos, City of Hope, Global Green and [Food on Foot](https://www.foodonfoot.org/)**.
“For the Eaton Fire victims, we gave $250 gift cards, an essentials bag and invited a couple to be ‘celebrity for the day.’ I love giving back as much as I can. With many assets at my disposal, I want to share them and help as many people as I can.”
Brands come from all over the world to participate in GBK Brand Bars Luxury lounges, even as far away as China and Australia.

“We wanted to participate in Gavin’s celebrity gifting suite because it places our products directly into the hands of highly visible, influential individuals at a cultural peak moment,” said Charles Zhai, marketing director at ibreo, the U.S. consumer brand of Breo, China’s massager brand.
“When a product is discovered organically by talent during his events, it often leads to authentic word-of-mouth, social sharing, and long-tail visibility that extends far beyond the event itself,” Zhai acknowledged.
“There’s also a strong halo effect,” Zhai continued. “Being associated with high-profile moments like awards season elevates perceived brand value, positioning the product as premium, relevant, and culturally in tune. Even without formal endorsements, proximity to celebrity and prestige events can significantly influence consumer perception.”

Ongoingly working at the intersection of entertainment marketing, luxury gifting, and philanthropy, Keilly is hard at work on his first book, for entrepreneurs and consumer product brands, with a working title of “The Brand Builder’s Blueprint: The Marketing Loophole Top Brands Use to Turn Celebrity Access Into Influence and Trust.”
“At the end of the day, people don’t need more information; they need a better way to get seen in all the noise,” Keily said. “What this book shows is what I call the ‘marketing loophole.’ Most people think they have to build attention from scratch by posting every day, running ads, and hoping something sticks. What I’ve learned over the years is that instead of chasing attention, you can actually borrow it, by placing yourself where it already exists.”
For Keilly, that means brands getting into the right rooms and aligning themselves with the right collaborators.
“Then you can use all this content and post. Once marketing executives really understand that shift, they can start gaining access to opportunities they didn’t even know existed. You’re in conversations with people who open doors, and building relationships with influencers, celebrities, and decision-makers. You’re no longer trying to prove yourself. You’re positioned in a way where people start taking you seriously.”
Keilly hopes readers of his book will walk away thinking differently about visibility and growth. “They will begin to see how their brand can get in front of the right people, without wasting years trying to figure it out on your own.”
GBK’s upcoming events include the Anthony Anderson Celebrity Golf Tournament, pre-ESPYS lounge, ore-Luxury Emmy Lounge and the “Thank You Lounge” backstage at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, which honors 30–40 top tier musicians.
While Keilly has had many highlights over the past 25 years, his favorite role is being a father to his daughter, Morgan Grace, and husband to his loving wife, Tara-Jane.
