How Should We Think with AI?

After sharing my thoughts on AI as a companion, I received two very different responses.

One person shared how AI helps them think more clearly. Another wondered whether relying on AI could gradually weaken our ability to think for ourselves.

The more I reflected on both perspectives, the more I realized they weren’t really opposites.

To me, the future isn’t about thinking less because of AI. It’s about learning to think differently with AI.

AI can help us challenge our assumptions. Expand our perspectives. Notice connections we might otherwise miss.

But curiosity… judgment… and responsibility… remain deeply human.

Perhaps the question isn’t whether AI will replace our thinking.

Perhaps it’s how we choose to think with AI.
