VCT 2025 «STAGE 2» AGENT ANALYTICS

OVERVIEW

VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2025 is the fifth annual competitive tournament circuit organized by Riot Games. It consists of three seasons — «Kickoff», «Stage 1», and «Stage 2» — each divided into four sub-regions: Americas (AMER), China (CN), EMEA, and Pacific (PCF).

While «Kickoff» served as a testing ground where teams experimented with compositions, strategies, and ideas that could shape the season’s meta, and «Stage 1» was the first season with a well-established meta that required teams to adapt and refine their tactics, «Stage 2» became the moment of truth, where teams had to unleash their full potential and prove their worth. During this tournament, the best teams earned regional titles and qualified for VCT Champions 2025.

• Tejo and Breach have lost their dominance as cornerstone agents.
• Yoru’s dominance as the top duelist is fading, as Raze and Neon are stepping up.
• Only Sova and Fade now battle for the crown of top initiator, leaving others in their shadow.
• Omen and Viper have further solidified their positions among smokers.
• Cypher, Vyse, and Killjoy still lead as top sentinels, but other sentinels are closing in fast.
• Waylay, Iso, Phoenix, Reyna, Skye, Tejo, Astra, Harbor, and Clove are completely uncompetitive in the current meta.

FORECAST

Tejo’s nerfs after «Stage 1» significantly diversified «Stage 2», adding complexity and variety. This indicates the importance of analyzing current trends and discovering new ones for future tournaments using the data presented in Figure 16.

• Yoru, Raze, and Neon stand out as the most effective duelists: Raze’s stats are striking, but Neon’s numbers suggest the agent may soon fall out of favor.
• Sova and Fade are comparable among revealers, though Fade offers greater potential. While Skye offers an intriguing alternative, Kayo remains the undisputed leader among flashers.
• While Omen remains the uncontested controller, Viper’s current strength appears tied to the specific map pool.
• Cypher and Vyse remain reliable anchors, with Vyse shining against high pickrate agents. Killjoy also seems like a possible option. Sage and Chamber also boast strong stats, but they fall short of being true anchors.
