MGMP of Indonesian Language Teachers in DIY Discusses Planning and Learning in the New Era

Yogyakarta, Indonesia — Four Indonesian Language teachers from MAN 1 Yogyakarta — L. S. Wulan Kurniati, S.S., M.A., Ervania, M.Pd., Ely Rahmawati, S.Pd., and Heru Prabowo, S.Pd., attended the monthly MGMP (Subject Teachers’ Forum) for Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) on Tuesday (February 10th, 2026). The event was held in the meeting room of the PSBB Building at MAN 3 Sleman.

At the regular monthly meeting, the MGMP committee invited Evi Effrisanti, S.T., Associate Expert Supervisor from the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Yogyakarta City, as the keynote speaker. She delivered a presentation titled “Planning and Teaching Indonesian Language in the New Era.”

At the beginning of her presentation, Evi explained that the world is currently facing an era of disruption, requiring the education sector to be adaptive and responsive. She outlined several important steps for educators, including:

1. understanding the eight dimensions of the graduate profile;
2. understanding learning principles and experiences based on deep learning approaches;
3. understanding the concept of panca cinta (five values of love) in the love-based curriculum; and
4. being able to integrate the graduate profile dimensions, deep learning principles, and panca cinta into the planning and implementation of Indonesian Language instruction.

To engage participants, Evi invited teachers to answer questions related to the love-based curriculum and graduate profile dimensions through the Quizizz application. She then systematically explained the current curriculum changes compared to the previous version.

Evi also highlighted revisions in the learning achievement standards, from Decree 032/H/KR/2024 to 046/H/KR/2025, which emphasize critical literacy, reflection, deep learning processes (DPL), teacher readability, challenges, and implementation. According to her, implementing the updated 047/H/KR/2025 standards requires strong pedagogical skills, creativity, and high literacy competence. She also presented key points from the Ministerial Regulation of Primary and Secondary Education (Permendikdasmen) No. 1 of 2026.

During the session, MGMP members were guided to practice formulating learning objectives integrated with the love-based curriculum approach.

The Head of MAN 1 Yogyakarta, Edi Triyanto, S.Ag., S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the activity.

“Currently, our madrasah is conducting practical examinations for Grade XII students. Despite their busy schedules with teaching and exam supervision, our Indonesian Language teachers remain committed to participating in MGMP activities as part of continuous professional development to broaden their insights and strengthen their competence as educators,” he said.
