Trust That Inner Voice: It’s Worth Listening To

We grow up learning to doubt ourselves. We’re told to be polite, give people the benefit of the doubt, and not make waves. All of us had to adapt to challenging situations, so we learned to accept needs that were welcomed and feel ashamed of needs that weren’t supported.

We end up carrying outdated maps as we try to navigate new territory, leaving us feeling confused and unsatisfied.

That feeling in your stomach when something’s off? The hesitation before saying yes to something you don’t want? That whisper telling you someone isn’t being honest?

Your inner voice isn’t your enemy. It’s trying to protect you.

Fear vs. Intuition

Empower yourself by understanding the distinction between fear and intuition. Fear comes with a story; it’s loud, chaotic, and typically revolves around future scenarios that may never materialize. On the other hand, intuition is quiet, clear, and focused on the present moment. Recognizing this difference puts you in the driver’s seat of your life.

Some feelings are immediate and new — triggered by what’s happening now. Other feelings are familiar companions that stick with you, pointing to unresolved issues from your past.

Start Listening Again

Pay attention to how your body feels. Notice when you feel open versus when you feel tight. Trust those signals.

Know that every emotion moves like a wave. Feelings build up, reach a peak, then fade away — when you let them. When you push away a sense, you can’t access what you actually need.

Letting go of toxic relationships is like lifting a heavy burden off your shoulders. These relationships not only drain your energy but also reduce your ability to trust yourself. By releasing them, you free yourself to trust your inner voice and grow.

Your Voice Matters

Trust that inner voice. It’s worth listening to. It is.

Trust in yourself is more valuable than the outcome of any single decision you make.

At Healing Arts Center, we help people reconnect with their inner wisdom through mindfulness, somatic breathwork, and Reiki. Working alongside my business partner, a retired Navy SEAL, we’ve created a space where people can learn to trust themselves again and break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Because when you finally start listening to that inner voice, everything changes. https://www.vagaro.com/healingartscenter and www.healingartsvb.com
