The Data Vacuum The answer is: Nothing. Because of the government shutdown delay, the NFP data — the most critical economic scorecard — was not released. Friday’s rally was not built on economic strength; it was built on Algos chasing liquidity in a vacuum. Short sellers, terrified of holding positions over the weekend, covered en masse. This is a “Ghost Rally.”

The True Signal: Gold > $5,026 While equity traders popped champagne, the bond and currency markets told a different story. Gold reclaimed $5,000 and is currently trading at ~$5,026.
