I’m so grateful to see you from here in my hometown, and I hope wherever I go, I can still look at your sky as beautiful as this. But I think that doesn’t make sense anymore, as many of your inhabitants have grown increasingly greedy and care less about you.

You already talk to us (humans and all your other inhabitants) through your wind. It can be a soft whisper of life or a strong warning. You cry a lot with your heavy rain. Your sadness also shows in big thunderstorms and harmful landslides. These are not just weather; they are your clear signs of deep, deep pain that we need to recognize. But even with these clear messages, some parts of your sky have become dirty. The once clean blue is not pure anymore. This pollution hides your natural beauty. It makes it harder for us to understand your quiet calls and urgent warnings that are constantly around us.

Recently, you spoke to us through the earthquake and landslide in my area. Most of Us slept outside, and honestly, I’m scared. I’m so sorry that your inhabitants have cared less about you. Yet you are the one who has sheltered us to live within you. But, I know that this is just a warning to make us care more about you before it’s truly too late for all of us.

Humans, already living in abundance and breathing the fresh air you provide, are still getting greedy. They don’t think about your condition or the other inhabitants within you or even themselves in the future. Instead, all they do is exploit parts of you. Even animals like monkeys, who naturally belong in the forests, are descending into our populated area because their homes have been ruined. This is an occurrence that is truly difficult to swallow, where Earth provides, but we as its inhabitants can not protect our own nature. In this matter, it’s not just using but instead wantonly destroying it. It’s so sad to see that they don’t realize what awaits them in the future if they continue down this path. Because the material wealth they chase will only provoke your wrath and bring about disasters that will cause them to be swallowed whole.

Hopefully, we can communicate with you (earth) by changing our lifestyles, showing more care for you by minimizing plastic use that you struggle to break down, and protecting all the ecosystems within you by reducing deforestation and even replanting trees. This will surely strengthen our bond, allowing us to breathe your fresh air, enjoy your beautiful skies, and embrace the cooling rain you provide. No longer tears or laments, but a refreshing rain that balances all life within you.
